Pacer

Terms of use

The rules for using Pacer. Please read them before you connect a broker.

Short answerPacer helps you review your own trading. It is not investment advice. It flags patterns after your orders, and it cannot block orders. Alerts can be late or missed. Free and Pro never place, change or cancel orders, and Pacer never moves money. You stay responsible for your broker account and your trades. Pacer is free during the beta.

Who we are

Pacer is built by the team behind Minute Exchange. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean the Pacer team, and "you" means the person who uses Pacer. "Pacer" means the app and this website.

When you create an account or use the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use Pacer.

Free beta

The Pacer app is in a free beta. All features are free while the beta runs. The app has no payments and no purchases. Beta software can have errors, and features can change or stop. Before paid plans start, we will tell you the prices and you can choose. We will not charge you without your clear consent.

Who can use Pacer

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Pacer is for traders in India with an account at a supported broker (Dhan or Upstox). You can also try the demo account, which uses fictional trades.
  • You must give a true email address that you control.

Pacer is not investment advice

  • Pacer is not a broker, an investment adviser or a research analyst. We are not registered with SEBI.
  • We do not give tips, signals or trade recommendations. We do not trade for you, and we do not try to make a profit for you.
  • Rules, scores, reports and suggestions in Pacer are about your own trading habits. They are not advice to buy or sell anything.
  • Trading in futures and options carries a high risk of loss. You make your own trading decisions.

Flags and alerts

  • Flags identify trading patterns for review. They do not prove why a trade lost money.
  • A flag can be wrong. For example, a planned adjustment can look like a quick re-entry. You can mark a flag as planned in the app.
  • Alerts can be late or missed. They depend on your broker's data, your phone, your network, push services and our servers. Do not use Pacer as your only risk control.
  • P&L and charges in Pacer can differ from your broker's numbers. Where the broker does not give charges, Pacer estimates them. Your broker's contract notes and statements are the correct record.

Pacer cannot block orders

No broker lets an app stop an order before it is placed. Pacer reads your orders and trades and flags patterns after the order. If you want a hard stop, use your broker's own controls, such as its kill switch.

Broker access and your broker account

  • You connect your broker account yourself, on your broker's login page or with a token you make on your broker's website.
  • Dhan and Upstox do not give apps a read-only login. The access token Pacer gets could also place orders. Free and Pro never place, change or cancel orders. Pacer never withdraws, deposits or transfers money.
  • Your broker account stays yours. Your agreement with your broker still applies. You are responsible for all orders and trades in your account, and for keeping your broker login, PIN and phone safe.
  • You can disconnect a broker in the app, or remove Pacer's access in your broker's app or website, at any time.
  • Brokers can change or stop their APIs. If they do, some features can stop working.

Guard

Guard is not live yet. It needs Dhan's approval first. When it is available, these terms apply:

  • Guard acts only if you turn it on. It sets your broker's own controls: the P&L exit at your maximum daily loss, and the kill switch. Your broker runs these controls, not Pacer.
  • The broker's P&L exit closes positions at market prices. In a fast market, the final loss can be bigger than your limit.
  • The kill switch stops trading in your broker account for the day. Your broker's own rules decide when it can be turned on and off. For example, Dhan needs all your positions closed first.
  • Guard depends on your broker. If your broker refuses a change, is down, or your login has ended, Guard may not be set. The app tells you when the broker reports a problem.
  • Before you turn Guard on, the app shows your broker's steps and limits. You must confirm that you understand them.

Acceptable use

Do not:

  • Use another person's broker account or email without their permission.
  • Try to get into other users' data, our servers or our code without permission.
  • Overload, scrape or attack Pacer, or try to get around its limits.
  • Use Pacer for anything illegal, including market abuse.
  • Copy, sell or resell Pacer, or present it as your own.

If you break these rules, we can suspend or close your account.

Your account

  • You log in with a one-time code that we send to your email. Keep access to your email safe.
  • Your data stays yours. You let us use it only to run Pacer for you, as the Privacy policy explains.
  • You can export your data in the app: Settings > Export my data.
  • You can delete your account at any time: Settings > Account > Delete account, or other ways to delete your account. Deletion removes your data and stored broker tokens and cannot be undone.
  • We can close an account that breaks these terms. If we stop Pacer, we will tell you first and give you time to export your data.

Availability and changes

  • We try to keep Pacer running during market hours, but we cannot promise that it will always work. Pacer can be down because of maintenance, errors, broker problems or network problems.
  • We can change, add or remove features.
  • We can change these terms. We will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app or by email before it starts. If you keep using Pacer after a change, you accept the new terms.

Limitation of liability

  • We give Pacer "as is". We do not promise that it is free of errors, that every pattern is found, or that every alert arrives on time.
  • We are not responsible for your trading decisions, your trading losses, missed or late alerts, or losses caused by your broker, by market moves or by events outside our control.
  • To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about Pacer is limited to the amount you paid us for Pacer in the 12 months before the claim. During the free beta, that amount is zero.
  • Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that the law does not let us limit.

Governing law

These terms follow the laws of India. If we have a disagreement, we will first try to settle it by talking with you. If that does not work, the courts of India will decide it.
